James Bye said farewell to Strictly Come Dancing this weekend when he was eliminated from the competition on Halloween night.
The EastEnders star was pitted against Fleur East who found herself in her second dance-off of the competition – but while she was saved, he found himself making an exit from the contest.
James took to Instagram after his exit to list some of the people he was grateful to, including the fans, saying: "I just wanted to send a little message to everybody as I've had some incredible support over the weekend, and it's been a crazy couple of months.
"So, I just wanted to quickly say thank you to every single one of you who either took the time to vote for Amy [Dowden] and I or just send us a message. Because I think sometimes people think that we don’t read the messages and things, but I promise you I read every single one of them.
"And there are times when your messages really helped me get through those tough days, so I want to thank you again for that," he continued.
"I also want to say a massive thank you to my family at home. The support from behind the scenes is what gets everyone through this process because it is a full-on thing to do."
James' wife Victoria also made a cameo in his thank you video, and he made sure to thank her too for her support throughout his Strictly journey.
Victoria also revealed that going to see the show each week does have its drawbacks – the seats have a tendency to give you a numb bum, apparently!
Strictly Come Dancing continues next weekend, as the series gets closer to the grand return of Blackpool week for the first time since 2019.
EastEnders airs on Mondays-Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer.
