Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell has responded to Craig Revel Horwood's criticism of her and Tyler West's most recent routine.

While the pair's Paso Doble went down a storm with most of the judging panel last weekend, Craig wasn't hugely praiseworthy, suggesting it "lacked any Spanish line whatsoever" and arguing it "went from power position to power position".

He ultimately gave them a 6, and on Strictly – It Takes Two earlier this week, Dianne responded by noting that "dance is so subjective".

"It is one of those things," the dancer said. "Obviously Craig… I understood exactly what they meant about the shaping and wanting more twists in it. 100%, I completely agreed.

"I feel there was Spanish lines in there, but I feel that it could have been rotated more so I get all that," she continued.

"But yeah, it's just… if Craig didn't like it, I can't be in his head. I don't know exactly why he didn't love it. It's just what they're there for. Some might love it. Some might hate it.

“Everyone has a different opinion, and that's just how the show goes, I guess. You just try and take on board what they say and try and come back, hopefully. We keep moving."

While Tyler and Dianne ended up in the bottom two, they are now through to Blackpool Week after fellow dance-off couple Tony Adams and Katya Jones withdrew due to an injury.

Meanwhile, Tyler has admitted he plans to make a bold hair change if he and Dianne make it to this year's final.

“I’ve said to Dianne that if we get to the final I’ll dye my hair red like hers, let’s set that dance floor on fire as two redheads!” he told OK!.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off show Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows also stream on BBC iPlayer.
