Doctor Who's 'The Power of the Doctor' potential spoilers follow.
Jodie Whittaker has dropped some intriguing hints about her final Doctor Who episode.
The 13th Doctor actress, along with showrunner Chris Chibnall and co-star Mandip Gill, will be departing the show following a feature-length special, 'The Power of the Doctor', airing for the BBC's centenary celebrations.
In a recent chat with Empire Magazine, Whittaker promised that this special episode will be "one for the Whovians" with nods back to Doctor Who history.
"It's a huge treat if you're a proper fan," she said. "It's got all the iconic things that you associate with Doctor Who. It's massive."

Whittaker's regeneration scene was shot in one take, in a way that she promises "wraps up my Doctor beautifully".
While we're sure there will be many surprises on the night, the BBC has also already confirmed 'The Power of the Doctor' will feature some important nods to the show's past.
Former Doctor Who stars Janet Fielding and Sophie Aldred will return to the series in live-action for the first time in decades as The Doctor's former companions Tegan and Ace, respectively.
The Doctor will need all of her friends from throughout time and space around her as she faces off with The Master (Sacha Dhawan), the Daleks and the Cybermen before regenerating.

In addition to its own franchise Easter eggs, Chibnall's feature-length episode is also expected to pay tribute to the legacy of the BBC in its first 100 years.
Doctor Who's next special, 'The Power of the Doctor', premieres in October 2022 on BBC One in the UK. In the US, the show airs on BBC America, with series 1-12 available on HBO Max. Classic Doctor Who streams exclusively on BritBox in the UK.
