Sylvester McCoy's debut season of Doctor Who has never looked as good as it does in a new Blu-ray boxset.
The latest in a series of classic remasters from the BBC, Doctor Who's season 24 will be getting a Blu-ray release on February 12, 2023 — and it's had its price slashed from £49.99 to £39.99 for pre-orders.
This multi-disc boxset contains the classic serials 'Time And The Rani', 'Paradise Towers' 'Delta And The Bannermen' and 'Dragonfire'.

McCoy's debut as The Doctor is full of bright '80s colours and appearances from popular companions Mel Bush (Bonnie Langford) and Ace (Sophie Aldred) — both of whom recently returned to the show for Jodie Whittaker's swansong in the role 'The Power of the Doctor'.
These episodes feature the return of The Rani, as the late Kate O'Mara reprised her iconic role as the devious Time Lord willing to do absolutely anything to satisfy her scientific experiments.
Hours of bonus footage are featured here, including studio and location filming that was cut from the broadcast, as well as a minisode and multiple featurettes with the cast and crew.
All four serials have been remastered in extended form, meaning you'll finally get to see the long-rumoured deleted scenes placed back into the episodes.

Sylvester McCoy also takes part in a long-form documentary film where he reflects on his incredible career, which recently included starring in the Hollywood reboot of The Munsters.
Doctor Who returns in 2023 on BBC One in the UK and Disney+ elsewhere. Meanwhile, in the US, the show airs on BBC America, with series 1-12 available on HBO Max. Classic Doctor Who streams on BritBox in the UK.
