Doctor Who actress Jodie Whittaker received a nice surprise from the crew on her last day.
Set to regenerate into the next Time Lord, Ncuti Gatwa, very soon, she sat down for an exclusive chat with Digital Spy to talk climactic emotions alongside co-star Mandip Gill.
"When I did some scenes on the TARDIS in the morning, and when we got in – the crew had lined up and they clap you, like a sports star.

"Then when it was time for Mandip to come on, and I knew it was going to happen, I was so excited!" she recalled. "I was really crying and laughing and clapping. That was emotional, wasn't it?"
Gill revealed: "And the execs were there. Everyone was around us. It was emotional."
Now that it's in the bag, does Whittaker not feel an overriding sense of pressure about her final Doctor Who episode?
"I suppose the pressure's gone, because it's done now, isn't it? They can't fire us.

"I think the pressure... I don't feel pressure. I just feel nostalgic and quite emotional. And, you know, we were really lucky that we filmed this a year ago, so we still had an entire year of being Yaz and the Doctor, for all intents and purposes," she added.
"The good thing is, if you're really emotional about something, it's because it's been an extraordinary time. So that's the major takeaway that's been so incredible. But it doesn't stop me putting on a bottom lip."
When 'The Power of the Doctor' airs tonight (October 23), there won't be a dry eye in the whole universe.
Doctor Who's next special premieres Sunday, October 23 on BBC One in the UK. In the US, the show airs on BBC America, with series 1-12 available on HBO Max. Classic Doctor Who streams exclusively on BritBox in the UK.
