Spider-Man fans, are your spider senses tingling? If so, there might be a very relevant reason why as a new live-action TV series is in development.
It sounds like it won't be like any Spider-Man spin-off we've come across before, being centred around Spider-Man Noir, a character plucked from the comics that we've only seen glimpses of previously.

According to Deadline, the show is set in its own universe, and the currently untitled series will follow an older and more wordly superhero in gritty 1930s New York City, during the Great Depression.
This will be the first live-action take on Spider-Man noir, but we have seen him before. In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse we saw a handful of alternate universe Spideys, with Nicolas Cage lending his voice to the animated Noir.
The actor, when asked about his future of Noir, stated: "Ask them. I don't know. I really don't. I wish they would. I love Spider-Man Noir, too. I think that's a great character. Spider-Man's the coolest superhero. And then you combine that with Cagney and Bogart and Edward G Robinson, come on. It's a great character."

A great character, indeed, and live action could only make him cooler. Well, looks like Amazon is saving the day, bringing this new project into production in partnership with Oren Uziel as director and writer.
Fingers crossed for more details soon... most importantly, who'll be trusted with bringing this character to life?
Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has a cinema release date of June 2, 2023 in the US and UK.
