Giancarlo Esposito, star of Breaking Bad and The Mandalorian has landed his next movie role in Francis Ford Coppola's latest project Megalopolis.
The film, which has begun shooting in Atlanta and New York, adds Esposito to an already impressive cast (via Deadline). Esposito, who is best known for his portrayal of Gus Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, will join the likes of Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Dustin Hoffman, and Jon Voight.
Joining them are stars Laurence Fishburne, Nathalie Emmanuel, Chloe Fineman, Bailey Ives, Jason Schwartzman, Kathryn Hunter, DB Sweeney, Talia Shire, James Remar, and Grace Vanderwaal.

Written, Directed, and funded by Coppola, Megalopolis tells the story of an architect who attempts to rebuild New York City into a utopia following a disaster that destroys it.
"The fate of Rome haunts a modern world unable to solve its own social problems in this epic story of political ambition, genius, and conflicted love," the official logline reads.
Last year, we were treated to a series of first look images of the cast during filming for the sci-fi epic from the famed director of Apocalypse Now and The Godfather trilogy.

The White Lotus star Aubrey Plaza and Star Wars' Adam Driver were pictured filming in Atlanta alongside Coppola. Plaza was spotted sporting her newly dyed blonde hair, which she has donned for the role.
Meanwhile, Game of Thrones star Nathalie Emmanuelle also featured in a series of first look images from the set alongside her cast mates Shia LaBeouf, Chloe Fineman and Isabelle Kusman.
In other Giancarlo Esposito news, the Breaking Bad star is set to return as Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian which returns to Disney+ this March.
Megalopolis has no release date, but is expected to premiere in 2024.
