The Mandalorian had dropped the first full trailer for season three, and there’s plenty more action in store for Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin and his little green companion Grogu.

The new trailer for the Star Wars spin-off was unveiled on Monday (January 16) night during the NFL Wild Card Game between the Dallas Cowboys and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Fans previously caught a peek at a teaser trailer at Disney's annual expo D23 back in September, but have now been treated to new footage from the upcoming season of the Disney+ show that sees Din and Grogu preparing to make a trip to Mandalore as Din hopes to be forgiven for his "transgressions".

However, it seems the unlikely duo will cross paths with old allies and new enemies along the way.

One thing that’s for sure is Star Wars fans will be seeing more Jedi Knights in the upcoming season as the trailer reveals a brief glimpse at multiple lightsaber wielders.

Grogu himself will also be using his Jedi abilities, despite choosing to leave his training with Luke Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, as he battles foes much larger than himself using the Force.

Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito are all set to star alongside Pascal in the new season of the Disney+ series.

Meanwhile, Jon Favreau returns as The Mandalorian’s showrunner/head writer and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson.

Season three will consist of eight episodes from a range of directors including Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey and Bryce Dallas Howard.

While the final episode of The Mandalorian season two was released in December 2020, Star Wars fans were treated to appearances from Mando and Grogu in last year’s The Book of Boba Fett.

As a result, the new season of The Mandalorian is expected to pick up immediately after their emotional reunion in The Book of Boba Fett.

The Mandalorian seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Disney+. Season 3 is set to be released on March 1, 2023.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, as well as on Disney+.
