Netflix has confirmed the future of Cobra Kai, revealing that the series has been renewed for a sixth and final season.
According to Deadline, the sixth season of Cobra Kai is set to be the "the biggest and baddest" yet and is set to begin production this spring.
Series creators Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg announced the news to fans in an official statement today (January 20) saying: "Reacquainting the world with the Karate Kid universe has been our humble honour.
"Making Cobra Kai has allowed us to join the same hallowed dojo once inhabited by the great Robert Mark Kamen, John Avildsen, Jerry Weintraub, and all the amazing original cast members."

"It has also enabled us to play sensei, expanding the original storylines and birthing a new generation of underdogs. We’ve never once taken this opportunity for granted."
The trio went on to write that the goal with the show was always to end it on their on terms, something that they feel they have been able to do.
"So it is with immense pride and thankfulness that we are able to announce that achievement. The upcoming season six will mark the conclusion of Cobra Kai," they added.

Netflix also unveiled an official announcement video that can be seen above, where we hear William Zabka's Johnny Lawrence ask "Do you have one more fight left in you?"
In terms of what fans can expect from the final season, it's likely to be different from any of the Cobra Kai we've seen before – after the season five finale saw the end to the rivalry between Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso and their respective Dojos.
