First trailer for Cobra Kai and The OA stars' new horror movie

Do you know your friends?

We have a brand new trailer for Cobra Kai star Peyton List and The OA actor Brendan Meyer’s new horror film called The Friendship Game.

The film, which is being directed by Hollow in the Land's Scooter Corkle, features a group of teenagers in a small town who discover a strange object that tests the strength of their friendship.

Written by The OA's Damien Ober, this movie also stars Kelcey Mawema (Superman & Lois), Kaitlyn Santa Juana (The Flash) and Dylan Schombing (Watchmen).

The trailer opens with the aforementioned strange object as a sinister voiceover explains: “It’s a game! A friendship game. If your friendships don’t survive it, neither do you.”

The friends decide to go ahead with the game. They have to share their innermost deepest desires with each other in order to play.

How do they win this game? By making sure their friendship stays intact.

Everything seems to be going okay for them until one of them, Cotton Allen, goes missing. In a previous shot, we see Cotton being confronted by what looks like an evil version of herself in her car before said evil version chokes her. It is unclear if she dies, but we do see her bleeding to the point that she just might be.

Her going missing starts causing cracks in the friendship group as one of them recalls how Cotton has always wanted to leave town, and has simply abandoned them.

“It’s a test,” Brendan Meyer’s character repeats this time, “if your friendships don’t survive, neither do you.”

“We can play again, right?” he asks, as the remaining three friends put their hands on the strange object to begin the game all over again.

And as we see more haunting images of bloodied hands and knives, running, crying and crawling, we see the words “Do you know your friends?” flash on the screen before the trailer gives way to the title card.

Do they survive it? Only one way to find out.
