Stargirl's Brec Bassinger teases Arrowverse cameo after last one failed

"I'm hoping it works out."

Stargirl actress Brec Bassinger has teased a possible Arrowverse crossover cameo.

The actress, who plays Courtney Whitmore on the CW series, addressed the possibility during an appearance on The Flash Podcast, revealing they are working on lining up things.

"So, I do know just talking to Geoff [Johns], our showrunner… nothing specific to The Flash, but other things, there is still talks going on [about] a small crossover cameo situation," she said.

"And we're actually working on schedules, so I'm hoping it works out because, clearly, last time it did not. But I'd say stay optimistic they're still pushing for it."

The tease comes ahead of the third season premiering later this month, which will see some new cast members come on board, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Seth Green taking over as Thunderbolt, as well as SWAT star Tim Gabriel.

In other Arrowverse news, The Flash was recently confirmed to be ending with its ninth season, with star Grant Gustin reflecting on the news.

"It's been an incredible nearly 10 years of playing this character and getting to be a part of this show with an amazing cast and crew, and so much love from you guys, the fans, the people who love the show," he said.

"That's the only reason we've been able to go as long as we have. I'm really excited to get to do this one more time, finish on our terms."

He added: "I'm going to enjoy every minute of it, as much as I can…. I couldn't be more honoured to be associated with this character, probably for the rest of my life and career. It is seriously a true honour.

"Thank you again for supporting us. I hope you enjoy this last season. I know I'm going to enjoy making it."

Stargirl season 1 and 2 is available to watch on DC Universe and The CW in the US and Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
