Batwoman star Ruby Rose will run through a battlefield in the movie Dirty Angels.

Set to begin shooting next month in Morocco and then Greece, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that this one is being directed by Martin Campbell (Casino Royale) from newcomer Alissa Silverman's script.

Eva Green has been cast in the movie too, reuniting her with Campbell after playing Vesper Lynd opposite Daniel Craig's 007 back in 2006.

Dirty Angels is set against the backdrop of the US Army's withdrawal from Afghanistan last year, and centres on a unit of female soldiers providing medical relief who are sent into the danger zone to rescue teenagers who have been caught between the Taliban and ISIS.

Meanwhile, Rose famously cut ties with Batwoman after just one season (she played the lead role of Kate Kane), and during a 2021 stint on The Kyle and Jackie O Show, the actress suggested that a latex allergy contributed to her decision.

"Oh yeah, you ask anyone who has ever played a superhero or villain or anything with that costume. They're not fun. That's not really the fun part," she told the hosts.

"I did find out that I was allergic to latex and unfortunately my cowl, which is the mask, is latex so I was like 'I'm a little itchy.' I was getting worse and worse because as you get more contact with it, you get more reactions.

"Eventually, I took off the cowl at the end and my whole face was hives. My throat was all messed up. It was like it was out of a scary movie."

Expect Dirty Angels to hit cinemas in early 2024.
