Love Island spoilers follow.
Tonight's (February 9) episode of Love Island saw a recoupling, with one unlucky girl sent home at the beginning of the show.
Yesterday's episode ended with the surprise announcement that the boys could pick their partners, with one Islander due for a dumping.
And, a bit of reshuffling saw one of the original cast members exit the villa.

So, here's what went down.
In a move that surprised no one, Shaq opted to stay with wifey Tanya, stating: "Every day I find myself more and more and more in love with her." As if that wasn't a winning enough comment, he topped it by describing himself as the “luckiest man in the world.” Take notes from Shaq's speech for Valentine's Day.
Other couples that stuck to their guns were Kai and Olivia, Will and Jessie, and Tom and Samie.
After this, things were shaken up. Ron has been in a friendship couple with Tanyel... but it's not called Friendship Island.
Ron had to pick who he saw romantic hopes with, and chose to couple up with Lana.
Then Casey, who had been with Lana before Ron's choice, chose new bombshell Claudia, leaving Ellie and Tanyel for Jordan to pick from.
Jordan opted for a "platonic friendship" couple with Ellie, speculating that maybe something could grow from there. This meant, of course, that Tanyel was left without a match.
After a teary group hug, with a lot of sadness from Ron and Lana, Tanyel said goodbye to the villa.

However, it turns out that Tanyel isn't in low spirits after her exit, sharing some thoughts on her dumping.
Tanyel shared that she wasn't surprised by the outcome, having opted to stay true to herself rather than pretend for the sake of staying in: "Going into the fire pit, I just had a weird feeling that I was going to be leaving the villa.
"I like Jordan as a person, but I knew that if he had chosen to couple up with me, I’d have been forcing it. I knew there was no spark."
And, when asked about Ron and Lana, Tanyel has no hard feelings. In fact, she might be their biggest fan.
She shared: "I’m so happy! I want them to win the show. I said to him when I was leaving, ‘If you let me down, that’s our friendship done.’ I’m so happy they’re together. I feel like they’re the strongest couple and they have the most genuine feelings for each other. I hope he won't let me down!"
