Dumped Love Island contestant David Salako has responded to claims that he and former Islander Dami Hope are feuding, saying his comments were a "light-hearted joke".
Claims of a feud between the pair started after Dami tweeted about David's haircut, saying: "Atp if David needs a trim I’ll cut his hair ffs."
David was quick to respond to the quip, posting a TikTok of himself at the barbers joking that he'd stolen Dami's barber and would be after his girlfriend Indiyah Polack next."Dami, you've been getting onto me since I left the villa. I've stolen your barber, you know what I'm going for next," he said in the clip.

Dami then replied to David's clapback with an Instagram story, re-sharing the video with the comment: "Man said you know what I’m going for next. You couldn't even bag a girl in the villa [crying emoji] and you think you can take mine." (via OK Magazine)
David has now clarified the situation during an episode of Secure the Insecure podcast, saying that he hasn't responded to Dami's last comment as it's not in his nature to start conflict.
"Let’s be real, I'm not speaking to Indiyah at all," he said (via The Sun.)
"I've not made one comment back because that's not in my nature. So I have made a light-hearted joke, just in response to his personal comments, and that was it."

David entered the villa alongside fellow bombshell Zara Deniz Lackenby-Brown, before becoming the first contestant to leave the villa after failing to spark a connection with anyone.
Since returning home, David has not been shy about giving his thoughts on this year's hopefuls, speaking to Digital Spy about his feelings for Tanya as well as a possible spark between Zara and Shaq Muhammad.
Love Island airs nightly on ITV2, and is available via catch up on ITVX and BritBox.
