The Great British Bake Off will not be co-hosted by comedian Joe Lycett, it seems.
After three series presenting the Channel 4 show alongside Noel Fielding, Matt Lucas has given up his job due to an increasingly tricky schedule, so unsurprisingly, rumours are flying around regarding his replacement.
Appearing on The News Agents podcast, Lycett, who hosts the likes of Joe Lycett's Got Your Back and Travel Man for the channel, was informed by Jon Sopel that he'd emerged as the "bookies favourite" to take over from Lucas.

"You knew, I bet you Google yourself," Emily Maitlis added, to which Lycett replied: "I definitely do Google myself. I haven't done in the last 24 hours.
"And I stopped for a little while with the [David] Beckham stuff. No, thank you. I'm taking myself out the race."
There you have it then, the search goes on.
Incase you missed it, the "Beckham stuff" he was referring to happened leading up to the start of the World Cup tournament in Qatar when Lycett publicly threatened to shred £10,000 of his own money, if Beckham did not end his role as an ambassador for the country over its treatment of LGBTQ+ people and laws against same-sex relationships.
After a video showing Lycett appearing to shred the cash was released on November 20, the day of the World Cup's opening ceremony, he swiftly announced that he had in fact donated the real money to Stonewall's Rainbow Laces Campaign and Sport Allies.
Lycett did also confirm on the podcast that while he has "not heard directly" from the footballer, "we have had some movement with his people".
He continued "Basically, we've had some contact with them... Legally at the minute, I'm not sure what I'm allowed to say."
Lucas confirmed that he will be giving up his Bake Off co-hosting position to better manage his schedule, but reflected on a "delicious experience" presenting the show and wished his successor "the very best".

Meanwhile, his Bake Off co-star Fielding recently published a sweet tribute to Lucas on social media, writing: "So sad that @realmattlucas is leaving the show! Farewell buddy thank you for 3 amazing years.
"I will really miss your spark and huge smile in the tent and I will miss your kindness as a person and to all the bakers.
"I will miss your sense of the absurd and your silliness. I will miss all the times the four of us giggled together. I will miss your ability to turn into a fully formed character at the drop of a hat.
"I will miss you pretending to be Boris Johnson singing David Bowie songs and I will miss your upbeat nature and positive vibes."
The Great British Bake Off airs on Channel 4 in the UK. In the US, it's known as The Great British Baking Show, and streams on Netflix. Bake Off: An Extra Slice, hosted by Tom Allen and Jo Brand, airs on Fridays at 8pm on Channel 4.
