Rahul Mandal from Bake Off is officially married!

Rahul won the Channel 4 show in 2018, impressing fans with both his incredible bakes and his charming, warm-hearted personality.

Now, after previously sharing via Instagram that he was due to marry in India on December 4, the baker has posted a beautiful video of the ceremony, alongside a heartwarming caption.

Rahul wrote: “Thank you so much for all your lovely wishes. Me and my wife Shreya both want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of you.

“Here is a little video of our wedding put together by my cousin. Hope you enjoy it.”

He also shared some details about how weddings work in Bengali culture, explaining: “Bengali weddings are more than just a wedding, it is the celebration of the union between the bride and groom, and their families as well as friends.

“It is the dream of not only the bride and groom, it is the dream of our parents, families and friends, a #celebration of #positivity, #love, #kindness."

Hilariously, in his prior Instagram post, Rahul admitted that there would be no cake at the ceremony, as no one wanted to complete with the champ. The baker wrote: "And before you ask, we are not having any #weddingcake, as everyone is far to nervous to do a cake for me."

However, the video shows that the beautiful ceremony, complete with candles, flowers and plenty of close family and friends, would have more than made up for the lack of wedding cake. Beside, Shreya has a lifetime of beautiful bakes to look forward to.

Rahul made sure to thank his online “extended family” for their kind messages, and invited fans to ask any questions about the ceremony he shared with new wife Shreya.

Best of luck to the new married couple!
