The Great British Bake Off has confirmed that the finalists from this series have reunited with their castmates after filming.

Tuesday's Bake Off finale featured Syabira being crowned this year's Star Baker, as Abdula and Sandro finished respectably as runners-up.

This special episode featured judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith challenging the finalists to celebrate summer with a picnic-themed signature – followed by a Showstopper dedicated to conservation of planet earth.

Following the transmission of the finale, Bake Off released a highlight reel of what the bakers have been up to since filming.

Rebs and Maisam had a girls trip together, while Janusz and Carole teamed up on a pavlova recipe during a visit to Somerset.

This year's bakers also got to meet some of their predecessors, including Dawn swapping recipes with Giuseppe and Val from past Bake Off series. Rahul got a visit from some super-fans – Will and James from the current series!

This year's winner Syabira and Maxy even got to meet Bake Off legend Jurgen! We do love a Great British Bake Off crossover.

Another year of Bake Off has wrapped up – but the show will be back for some festive specials before the end of the year. The cast will be announced in due course.
