The Great British Bake Off's Pastry Week spoilers follow.
Janusz Domagala has released a tongue-in-cheek response to the "spring roll-gate" controversy on this week's Great British Bake Off.
If you missed the episode, the contestants had to cook eight spring rolls in 80 minutes but when it came time for the judging, Paul Hollywood pointed out that Janusz was missing one spring roll.
The baker was baffled by the error, as he was shown asking: "What? I baked eight!”
Thankfully, the gaffe didn't cost Janusz his spot in the Bake Off tent, but viewers have understandably been wondering how the mix-up happened.
Janusz decided to tackle this unprecedented scandal head-on, writing on his social media that he planned to make a speech addressing the "unrest and undue stress" facing the country – which has only been about a missing spring roll because we can't think of anything else going on!
The baker later posted a video of his address outside a (definitely not real) 10 Downing Street where he attempted to give the waiting nation some answers.
"I stand before you as a mostly honest man to discuss the missing spring roll," he quipped on TikTok.

Janusz first apologised to the public, or "the people that live in my phone" as he called us, and then admitted he still has no idea what happened to that missing spring roll!
"I think, I definitely made eight spring rolls but clearly only seven were fried," he admitted. "Sources say Prue thought they looked so good she may have eaten one raw. Who knows?"
Digital Spy cannot confirm or deny the authenticity of this claim.
Finally, Janusz expressed hope that his comment offered "clarity and closure" to the country over 'spring roll-gate' so "the people of the whole wide world can sleep again".

We'll give it a shot, but we think a multi-part true crime series exploring the missing spring roll is needed!
