The Great British Bake Off's Pastry Week spoilers follow.

The Great British Bake Off's Pastry Week eliminated baker has opened up about how joining the show changed their life forever.

Tuesday's episode came up with three difficult challenges for the remaining bakers, as their vol-au-vent and savoury pastry skills gave way to a pie-themed 3D showstopper inspired by a childhood story.

Unfortunately, Maxy's pastry wasn't mouth-watering enough for judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith and she had to leave the tent – but not before explaining in a goodbye letter how the show helped her get out of her "comfort zone".
