RuPaul's Drag Race legend Shangela has responded to Ru saying that she should have won at least one of her seasons.

Ru appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and stated that of all the queens who had never won a season, she would crown Shangela, who appeared on seasons 2 and 3, and All Stars 3 (where she actually won the most challenges).

Shangela shared the video to her Instagram and wrote: "Thank u legendary Mother @rupaulofficial. Your acknowledgement feels just as validating as any (crown). I’ve always been grateful for the opportunities that Ru and @rupaulsdragrace gave me, ever since my first workroom tip in on season 2!

"And I’m even more grateful for the Drag Race sisterhood, and the fans around the world that have stood by me while I tried, failed, even broke a leg… but never gave up. And here we are today, still standing … still entertaining… still creating!

"So THANK YOU to all y’all. Never won Drag Race (or @dancingwiththestars lol) but forever strutting forward as a Winner. We’re all winners, baby. HALLELOO!"

As Shangela mentioned, she's gone on to become the first drag queen to take part in Dancing with the Stars, act in the A Star is Born remake, and front the series We're Here alongside Eureka and Bob the Drag Queen.

It was during the filming of the most recent season earlier this year that Eureka came to the realisation that she was a trans woman, publicly coming out this week after months of hormone replacement therapy.

"Every day, I'm becoming the woman that I strive to be — but I'm already that woman," she said. "It's just like any other female and any other person, I'm going to do what I need to do to feel even more comfortable in my skin.

Meanwhile, the latest Drag Race season — Canada vs the World — just crowned its winner, and you can find out who that is right here.

RuPaul's Drag Race US airs on MTV in the US and WOW Presents Plus in the UK.
