Worlds of DC boss James Gunn has revealed he's spoken to director Zack Snyder since taking on the role.

On Twitter, a fan replied to one of Gunn's tweets and used the hashtag #sellthesnyderversetonetflix. Responding to the tweet, Gunn started by stating: "I have to say, this has got to be the wackiest hashtag ever."

Gunn then explained: "1) Netflix hasn’t expressed any such interest (although we’ve discussed other stuff) & 2) Zack hasn’t expressed any interest & seems to be happy doing what he’s doing (and, yes, we too have talked)."

Gunn recently attempted to set the record straight on what led to Henry Cavill's departure from the role of Superman in Worlds Of DC.

Cavill, as Superman, cameoed in Black Adam but then announced that he would not be reprising the role in any future DC projects, following a meeting with Gunn and his new DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran.

Late last month, Gunn then confirmed he's working on a new introduction for Superman in his DC Universe which will be focused on balancing the character's "Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing".

Addressing Cavill's departure in an interview with Deadline, Gunn said: "We didn't fire Henry. Henry was never cast. He was in a cameo, and that was the end of his story.

"A lot of people made assumptions which weren't true, but for me, it's about who do I want to cast as Superman and who do the filmmakers want to cast. For me, for this story, it isn't Henry. I like Henry. He's a great guy. I think he's gotten dicked around by a lot of people, including former regimes of this company. But this Superman isn't Henry for a number of reasons."

Zack Snyder's Justice League is out now on HBO Max in the US, and Sky Cinema and NOW in the UK.
