Penn Badgley is back as Joe Goldberg in the fourth season of Netflix's You, but some fans are already speculating about his next big role.
As Marvel Studios begins production on their highly anticipated Fantastic Four reboot, there's been some rumours floating around that Badgley is one of the frontrunners to play Reed Richards, aka Mr Fantastic.
The actor responded to the rumours while speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, but he wasn't prepared to give anything away.

"Well… No, I can't reveal that. Neither confirm nor deny," he said, before adding: "No, I don't know what to say about that."
When further pressed on the subject and asked if he'd ever met with Marvel boss Kevin Feige, Badgley coyly replied: "No. You know, it's possibly that I have, but not in this context. I might have met him years ago and I wouldn't, you know, I'm not sure."
Out of the four titular superheroes, the casting of Mr Fantastic appears to be the main topic of discussion among Marvel fans.
John Krasinski recently played a version of the character in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, causing some to wonder if he'll be reprise the role in Fantastic Four.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's Glenn Howerton was rumoured to be another frontrunner to play Mr Fantastic, though he claimed last month that he's yet to receive a call from Marvel.
But, despite all the speculation, director Matt Shakman recently said that nothing has been confirmed yet.
"All the casting stuff you see is just rumours," he told Collider. "We are early in our process there. We have nothing to announce right now, and certainly, when we do we'll let you know."
Fantastic Four is due to be released in cinemas on February 14, 2025.
