Marvel stars Taika Waititi and Kumail Nanjiani appear in a first look at new comedy series History of the World Part II.

The series from Hulu is a sequel to the classic Mel Brooks comedy film History of the World, Part I, which put a slapstick spin on historic events like The Spanish Inquisition and The French Revolution.

Legendary comedian Brooks introduces new footage from the series, where the parodies range from the biblical age to the swinging 1960s.

The impressive parade of guest stars continues with appearances from Frozen's Josh Gad, The Good Place's D'Arcy Carden, Abbot Elementary's Tyler James Williams and Quinta Brunson, It's Always Sunny's Danny DeVito and Love, Victor's Nick Robinson, among many others.

The core trio recurring throughout the series will be stand-up comedy icon Wanda Sykes, Big Mouth's Nick Kroll and The Afterparty's Ike Barinholtz — all of whom also wrote on the series.

Mel Brooks' original 1981 comedy History of the World, Part I was critically panned at the time of release in spite of its own stellar cast for the era, yet its cult status has grown throughout the decades.

Brooks returns as both a writer and executive producer on the TV version of History of the World, along with the trio of stars mentioned above and David Stassen, Kevin Salter and Christie Smith.

History of the World Part II debuts two episodes on Hulu in the US on Monday, March 6, with two episodes per day dropping until the finale on Thursday, March 9.
