Florence Pugh has another Marvel movie lined up after Thunderbolts

What future plans do Feige and co have in store for Yelena?

Marvel has been setting up Thunderbolts for the last two years, and Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova has been one of the biggest stars, having appeared in Black Widow and Hawkeye.

But it looks like the team-up movie, which will feature an Avengers-esque group of antiheroes (think Suicide Squad), won't be the end of Pugh's MCU journey.

In a detailed look at how much actors, directors and character creators earn for comic-book movies, The Hollywood Reporter said: "Florence Pugh, already an Oscar nominee when she appeared in Black Widow as Yelena Belova, will receive eight figures for her next two Marvel films, including leading the ensemble cast of the villain-centric Thunderbolts."

We have no idea what that other movie is set to be. It could be one of the future Avengers movies, or one of those untitled Marvel movies that has a constantly-moving release date. It may not even be anything specific yet and Pugh might have just signed on for a three-film contract (plus her MCU Disney+ shows).

But it's Florence Pugh. The star is a big deal right now, having been described as the best part of the mixed Don't Worry Darling and will soon appear in Dune: Part Two, Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer and an adaptation of East of Eden. It's likely that Marvel will want to get Pugh in as many projects as they can.

She will also be appearing in A Good Person, the new film from Zach Braff, who Pugh was in a relationship with until earlier this year.

"We've been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it's been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on," Pugh said of the split.

"We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we're not together. So we've done that."

Thunderbolts is set for release on July 25, 2024.
