No Time To Die star Lashana Lynch is lined up to play Bob Marley's wife Rita in an upcoming biopic.
Lynch will be starring opposite Kingsley Ben-Adir, who is set to play the iconic reggae singer. According to Deadline, Paramount Pictures went through a vigorous search for the role, similar to the casting process for Ben-Adir.
The Captain Marvel actor underwent several screen tests and chemistry readings before being awarded the role.

It's been a successful few years for Lynch, who received praise for her role as Nomi in the most recent James Bond film No Time To Die. The actor recently revealed she'd be up for reprising the role in future if the opportunity occurred.
"I would," she said, before adding: "I don't know if it's happening, by the way."
