Marvel alum Finn Jones has found a new TV project – Starz drama The Venery of Samantha Bird alongside Katherine Langford.

The drama series will follow Knives Out actress Langford in the titular role of Samantha, who reconnects with her childhood sweetheart (Jones) and becomes involved in a seemingly-perfect romance.

However, there's an unsettling underlayer beneath this romantic affair and the series will explore addictive love and the repercussions one relationship can have on an entire community.

Starring alongside Langford and Jones will be The Morning Show actor Embeth Davidtz, Everything's Gonna Be Ok's Adam Faison, Little Voice's Shalini Bathina, and Love Is' Tyrone Marshall Brown.

Brenda Strong, who co-starred with Langford in 13 Reasons Why, also stars in the project, which comes from Anna Moriarty. The show will consist of eight episodes but there is currently no release date.

Jones is best known for his role as Loras Tyrell in Game of Thrones while he also starred as the titular character in Netflix's Marvel series Iron Fist. He later compared the axing of that latter show to the death of a close friend after the series was poorly received.

"I feel like Danny's journey was cut off right before things were going to get really, really interesting," Jones said at the time. It's almost like… it was like the death of a close friend, you know? You're like: 'Whoa, hold on. There's so much growth and potential with that character.'"

Jones recently led the horror movie The Visit. Meanwhile, Langford broke out with her role in 13 Reasons Why and later had a Marvel experience herself when she played Iron Man's daughter in a deleted scene in Avengers: Endgame.

Avengers: Endgame is out now on DVD, Blu-ray, 3D, 4K and digital download, and is available on Disney+.
