It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia star Glenn Howerton has responded to rumours he may be in the running to play one of the Fantastic Four.
As Marvel Studios is officially at work on a MCU version of the superhero team, some fans suggested that Howerton should be playing Reed Richards aka Mr Fantastic.
An alternate universe version of the character was recently played by A Quiet Place's John Krasinski in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, though there hasn't been any confirmation he'd return in the role for Matt Shakman's film.

As for Howerton, he said he is yet to receive a call from Marvel.
The Dennis Reynolds actor said he would be down to play the role, particularly as this would give him the chance to reunite with Shakman, who directed a few episodes of It's Always Sunny.
"Somehow, in my mind, there's no chance that anything that I will ever do will be watched by people, and I don't know what that is, I think it's this sort of perpetual underdog thing that I feel, which makes no sense," the actor told The Movie Dweeb.

"But, no, look, it would be super fun, and obviously, the director, Matt Shakman, is a very close friend and an absolutely incredible director, so it'd be super fun to work with him again," he continued.
"But ain't nobody called me about that yet, but I would accept that phone call."
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia airs on FXX and FX on Hulu in the US, while Netflix has the first 14 seasons in the UK, with season 15 dropping on February 1.
