The Mandalorian's Ming-Na Wen shares Book of Boba Fett season 2 update

"I never count my chickens before they hatch."

Ming-Na Wen has given fans an update on a possible second season of The Book of Boba Fett, sharing hopes that an announcement will come soon.

The show, which debuted late last year, is yet to be confirmed for a second outing – though things were left in such a way that a follow-up season could happen.

Speaking at Fan Expo Boston, Wen addressed whether we could see more of Boba Fett and her character Fennec Shand's antics.

"Second season of The Book of Boba Fett, I hope!" she said. "I never count my chickens before they hatch, because in this business, you just never know. But, knock on wood, they'll be announcing that soon – I hope."

Fellow star Temuera Morrison recently addressed criticism of the Mandalorian spin-off series, admitting there are some elements he would have "done a little bit different".

"Feeling the love from all the fans, feeling that we've done something good and the reaction I've been getting from the fans is overwhelming," he admitted to ScreenRant.

Morrison went on to say he was "very proud, and just grateful for the wonderful opportunity to play Boba Fett" alongside working with Wen, adding: "We had a wonderful chemistry. It was so easy to work with her. She had been my confidant and it was really a duo effort."

He continued: "Now that I'm looking back at it, I don't know, it's just one of those things. Things are great when you look back, but there are some things I may have done a little bit different.

"But again, just for me to work with Jon [Favreau] and be part of the Mandalorian family [has] just been quite phenomenal, really."

The next Star Wars show in the pipeline is Andor, which will follow the earlier days of Rogue One's Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) and the birth of the Rebellion, with the show due to launch with three episodes on September 21.

The Book of Boba Fett is streaming on Disney+.
