Warwick Davis has celebrated his daughter Annabelle's debut as Lacey Lloyd in Hollyoaks.

The star, who is known for roles including Wicket the Ewok and Professor Flitwick, tweeted a sweet tribute earlier this week ahead of Annabelle's first episode on the soap.

"Shout out to my daughter, @AnnabelleLDavis who debuts in the British Soap @Hollyoaks tonight. Never seen the show but will be watching tonight!" he wrote.

Lacey has aspirations of being a paralegal, and alongside her best friend Rayne (played by Jemma Donovan), moves into a shared house that includes Romeo, Nadira and Prince.

Speaking ahead of her first appearance, Annabelle teased: “It’s a whirlwind of emotions and events. The chaos baffles Lacey a bit, but she likes everyone she lives with.

“Rayne has her eye on Romeo and Lacey supports that – he seems like a nice guy. Prince is funny, and there’s a possibility Nadira and Lacey will get closer later on as they have a lot of similar qualities.”

Jemma offered a hint at what fans can expect from Lacey and Rayne's friendship as well.

"Rayne's an influencer, she's very confident, fun, and is here to play! But there's a whole other side to her that we'll see soon," she said.

"Lacey can deal with Rayne because she knows what she's like and they have a genuine relationship."

Annabelle also appeared in the recent Disney+ continuation series Willow as Mims, Willow's daughter, and has had roles in Jack the Giant Slayer and CBBC's The Dumping Ground.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
