Kaleidoscope, the new Netflix series starring The Mandalorian's Giancarlo Esposito, has made a blunder in regards to its subtitling.
The heist drama, which premiered on New Year’s Day, consists of eight colour-themed episodes which can be viewed in roughly any order.
The only suggestion from the producers is that ‘Black’ serves as the opening episode, whilst ‘White’ acts as the season finale.

In the episode titled ‘Yellow’, a character answers the phone, with the voiceover saying: “Word is the King’s got her on speed dial.”
The on-screen text, however, didn’t match up with the audio, with the subtitle reading: “Word is the Queen’s got her on speed dial.”
It didn’t take long for eagle-eyed viewers to spot the mistake, with one user on Twitter writing: “Looks like Kaleidoscope quickly reacted to world events by fixing the voice-over and infographic, but forgot to update the subtitles. #QueenCharlie”
Another fan who spotted the mistake wrote: “Watching #KALEIDOSCOPE. Pretty good.
"@netflix forgot to change subtitles to read 'King' instead of 'Queen' in the Yellow episode. Even changed the cellphone graphic to say 'Charlie. What did it originally say? Lizzie?”

One user appreciated the producers for spotting the need to update the episode, but bemoaned the fact they had “left the clues” of a prior edit. “Huge subtitle mess up on @netflix Kaleidoscope," they said.
“He says 'She's got the King on speed dial' and a graphic on screen shows saying 'Charlie calling'. Subtitles said 'She's got the Queen on speed dial'. Nice last minute edit, shame you left the clues @netflix.”
As well as Esposito, the cast for Kaleidoscope includes Rufus Sewell, Jai Courtney and Rosaline Elbay, with the plot following a gang as they attempt to pull off a $7 billion heist.
Kaleidoscope is streaming on Netflix.
