Star Wars confirms release window for The Mandalorian season 3 and Ahsoka

Coming very soon!

Disney has confirmed release windows for Star Wars live-action show Ahsoka and The Mandalorian season 3.

A sneak preview of the Mandalorian spin-off for Disney+ was also shown in a private panel during Star Wars Celebration on Thursday (May 26), along with news about both shows airing.

According to producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, The Mandalorian's third season will arrive in February 2023, to be followed later in the year by Ahsoka.

In more big news, Katee Sackhoff appeared at the panel to confirm her return as Bo-Katan Kryze in season 3 of The Mandalorian because her character has "unfinished business".

This ominous warning could hint at conflict between Bo-Katan and former ally Din Djarin over possession of the Darksaber.

Along with showing a message of Rosario Dawson from the set of Ahsoka, Filoni and Favreau teased a thrilling story for the beloved Jedi in her own series.

Ahsoka Tano was originally introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, before making a surprise appearance in the second season of The Mandalorian to offer guidance on Grogu's training.

Luke Skywalker's padawan popped up again in The Book of Boba Fett to consult with her mentor about Grogu missing his surrogate father Din Djarin.

In her own series, Ahsoka will grapple with the betrayal of Darth Vader joining the Sith order in the Dark Side after training her in the ways of the Jedi.

Hayden Christensen is expected to return for the Ahsoka show after reprising his role as Vader first in Obi-Wan Kenobi. Another prominent Clone Wars character will also arrive in live-action in Ahsoka, as The Society's Natasha Liu Bordizzo portrays Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren.

Earlier this year, Ahsoka director Bryce Dallas Howard promised the series will be filled with Easter eggs for fans of The Clone Wars.

"Without giving anything away, you are going to love the Ahsoka show that's coming up," she said in an interview for Romper. "I cannot tell you anything, but what I can say is that you being a fan of The Clone Wars will be greatly rewarded."

Ahsoka premieres on Disney+ in 2023. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, as well as on Disney+, while Rise of Skywalker is also on Sky Cinema Premiere and NOW.
