Sometimes, life would be a lot easier if a resourceful droid could do all of our cooking for us.
And, that day has come. Star Wars' R2-D2 has swapped his life on the frontline of the Rebellion for a life on the frontline of cooking perfect meals, in the form of a pressure cooker.
Much like the real R2, a series of beeps will communicate when your food is ready (although hopefully this Instant Pot won't be quite as foul-mouthed as its astromech counterpart).

The R2-D2 pressure cooker is officially licenced by Star Wars, making it the perfect piece of merch for any super fan who wants to get busy in the kitchen. It's currently on sale for £89.99 – £10 off its usual price of £99.99 – and is available from Lost Universe.
And, with a capability of cooking up to five portions (or 5.7L), it provides a quick, thrifty option for family or group meals.
The pot is made of stainless steel, so is easily washable, hygienic, and resistant to heat and corrosives. Practicals aside, it looks exactly like R2! (Further benefit, if it does get a bit messy it would only add to the authenticity.)

The handy appliance has many modes, and can pressure cook, sauté, steam, slow cook or heat food all at the touch of the button. Alongside this, it also has specialised modes for specific foods such as making yoghurt, porridge, rice, soup, meat and eggs.
As Princess Leia once said, "Artoo's here to handle it. Believe me, I've never seen a jam he couldn't beep his way out of."
Well, looks like R2 is now the one creating the (literal) jam.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the entire Skywalker Saga are available on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K now, as well as on Disney+.
