EastEnders airs heartbreaking scenes for Suki and Eve

EastEnders has aired heartbreaking scenes for Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin.

The former couple have been estranged ever since Suki made the decision to get back with her manipulative husband Nish once he was released from prison.

They were brought back into each other's orbit during Thursday's (February 9) episode when Nish and Vinny had one of Phil Mitchell's chicken shops defaced as part of their escalating feud.

Suki vouched for Nish when Phil came looking for someone to blame, yet was left with the clean-up as the Minute Mart was suddenly ransacked. Eve was there for support to help Suki with putting everything back in order.

Suki and Nish were soon at odds once she found out Nish had got their son Vinny involved in his vendetta, leading to Eve overhearing Nish's threatening tone with his wife.

Eve dropped into the Minute Mart again later to check on Suki, yet Suki continued to insist that her marriage with Nish remains a "partnership in every way".

"It's like he sucked the fire out of you," a worried Eve told her. "Everything you achieved over the last two decades, you did alone. You did that. You don't need him."'

Suki cut her off to insist their romance wasn't a "fairytale", putting it down to being "a mistake" she'd now moved beyond with Nish.

"Every touch, every kiss, every moment that we shared. They were all mistakes, were they?" Eve asked her.

When Suki coldly insisted Eve meant nothing to her, Eve solemnly answered: "Message received. Loud and clear."

As Eve left the shop, Suki couldn't hold back the tears, yet she stopped herself from telling Eve how she was truly felling. Will she ever be honest with Eve?
