Coronation Street continued its Bistro drug deal storyline tonight as Damon Hay made a new demand of Nick following a dramatic ordeal with masked gunmen.

In tonight’s hour-long episode, Nick (Ben Price) confirmed to Damon that the drugs had been delivered and were being stored at the Bistro.

Later, two masked gunmen entered the Bistro and held Ryan at gunpoint, demanding to know where the drugs were being stashed. A confused Ryan told them they had the wrong place.

Sam, who hadn't been spotted by the gunmen, ducked under the table and managed to sneakily call his dad, Nick, telling him what was going on. As Nick approached the Bistro, a gunshot was heard.

Nick, Leanne and Damon rushed inside and the gun was then pointed at Nick. Damon tackled the man, but he wriggled free and the two men fled. Later, Damon told Nick to keep his mouth shut, just as the police arrived.

The police questioned Ryan, while another officer questioned Nick, who followed his orders and told them that the two men must have gotten the wrong place and made a mistake.

But they weren’t out of trouble just yet as a handler arrived with a sniffer dog searching for drugs. Nick was made to unlock a cupboard as the search intensified, but the cupboard was empty and the dog found nothing.

Nick berated Damon for getting his son into trouble, but Damon assured Nick all was well.

"It’s sorted. You just keep your mouth shut and your head down," Damon said as he ordered Nick to look after the holdall of drugs.

Later, Leanne spoke to Nick and he shared that he'd been tasked with looking after the drugs. But he reassured Leanne that it was only for a short while.

Damon turned up at the flat, leaving Nick hoping he was taking the drugs already. But Damon told them the drugs had to stay in the flat for now and instead presented them with a present for Sam to say sorry for the ordeal.

Nick pleaded with Damon to take the bag, but Damon refused and left Leanne and Nick wondering how to get out of the mess they were in.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
