Coronation Street sets up Evelyn Plummer's next storyline tonight (February 6), as Roy Cropper encourages her to resume her volunteer work.
Last year, Evelyn briefly helped out at a local charity shop while trying to redeem herself over a major misunderstanding.
Evelyn had mistakenly accused charity shop manager Joy of stealing Hayley Cropper's famous red anorak.
Under pressure to make amends, Evelyn did a volunteer shift at the shop – but ended up storming out when Joy's bossy behaviour became too much to bear.

Evelyn then left Weatherfield altogether for several weeks, going to stay with a friend as she was fed up with being taken for granted by her family.
In Monday's episode, Roy suggests to Evelyn that she might like to return to her charity shop job now that she has been back for a few weeks.
Corrie bosses recently confirmed that Evelyn will indeed return to the shop, which will feature more regularly as part of the new Weatherfield Precinct set.
Speaking to Digital Spy and other media late last year, Corrie's producer Iain MacLeod commented: "The thing I'm most excited about is the shop spaces [at Weatherfield Precinct], particularly the charity shop.

"You won't believe the amount of times a random actor on our show will say 'I'd love my character to work in a charity shop!'
"It's every six months and always the same story pitched: 'My character would rummage through all the recently-arrived donations then mark all the good stuff down to 50p and buy it for themselves'. There may be a little bit of that.
"Two core characters are going in there and we're trying to install it as a new iconic destination. Over the years we've had brilliant double acts in The Kabin, most notably, but we're trying to achieve the same sort of thing in the charity shop, which is very exciting."

He added: "I'm increasingly loving the dynamic between Roy and Evelyn. They're both a similar age, they're idiosyncratic characters, and there's clearly a massive depth of affection there. Neither would admit that because it's very un-British and unseemly to admit how much you like somebody!
"This buttoned-up friendship emerges across the course of the phone story, which I'm excited to see."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
