Linda Carter will get a life-changing offer from Sharon Watts on EastEnders next week.

Since the tragic (presumed) death of her husband Mick, Linda has been left to run the Vic on her own, but shocked Alfie Moon last month by revealing she was planning to sell up.

In episodes airing next week, Linda confides in Sharon, letting her know that Janine still wants to sell Mick’s share of the Vic.

Refusing to let her come out with a moral – and financial – victory, Linda and Sharon attempt to thwart Janine’s plans, but Linda is resigned to the fact that she needs to sell.

Realising the financial strain she’d be under, Sharon makes Linda an outstanding offer – one that Linda decides to accept.

The deal moves forward over the course of the week, with both Linda and Sharon happy with the terms of the offer, but Eve overhears their conversations.

In an attempt to win back her trust, Eve suggests Suki as a potential buyer, throwing a potential spanner in the works of Linda and Sharon’s existing pact…

Linda is set to be involved in a ground-breaking story for the soap’s anniversary week, which will begin on February 20.

Executive producer Chris Clenshaw teased Linda’s arc, telling Digital Spy exclusively: “Linda’s still very much at the heart of Albert Square and it’s so great to have Kellie [Bright].

“She’s not going to get over Mick very quickly. She was just reunited with him then he was snatched away from her so it won’t be all smiles straight away, but there are big plans for Linda.

“She’s going to start shooting something in January that goes out in February and it’s something that we as a show haven’t done before. Linda’s at the centre of that.”
