EastEnders' Ryan Malloy will drop a bombshell after returning to Walford next week.

Neil McDermott is reprising his role for a brief stint as Ryan, who is Lily's biological father and Whitney's half-brother.

Viewers know that 12-year old Lily is pregnant with Ricky Jnr's baby, and Ryan's comeback will mark the next chapter in the story.

With half-term in full swing, Lily and Whitney spend time together on the market.

Afterwards, Lily questions her mum about Ryan, infuriating Stacey – who is cross with Whitney for provoking her.

Whitney is equally annoyed with Stacey for keeping Ryan in the dark about Lily's pregnancy, but promises to let her tell him when she's ready.

Whitney is emotional when her test results are delayed for a further two weeks, and decides to finally confide in Ryan after some persuasion from Zack.

While on the phone, Whitney's emotions get the better of her and she reveals that Lily is pregnant.

Wracked with guilt afterwards, Whitney later heads over to the Slater household to tell Stacey what she's done.

Before Whitney has time to reveal all, Stacey receives an unsettling phone call from Kat, who reveals that her van has been broken into.

Things go from bad to worse when Ryan arrives on the Square to see Stacey and Lily.

Shocked, Stacey arranges to see Ryan in the café, and they are later joined by sheepish Lily, who wants to get to know her dad.

As Lily enjoys spending quality time with Ryan, she is touched when he offers to help them financially.

Ryan later exchanges some harsh words with Jack and Sam in The Vic but the adults are all forced to join forces later on as Lily prepares for her first scan.
