Emmerdale's Samson Dingle unsettles Noah as shock new scheme begins

It's all to do with a trust fund.

Emmerdale spoilers ahead.

The Dingle clan looks set to be torn apart once again in Emmerdale, as Samson plots to blackmail Noah.

Samson is the father of Amelia Spencer's baby daughter Esther, but has repeatedly claimed he wants nothing to do with either of them.

However, after learning that Amelia's boyfriend Noah is the lucky recipient of a lucrative trust fund and wants to put some cash away to provide for Esther, Samson has begun to take an interest in the family, with an ulterior motive.

In next week's scenes, Noah arrives with romantic gifts for his girlfriend on Valentine's Day, but is immediately concerned by the sight of Samson spending more time with Amelia.

Noah has an awkward exchange with Samson before the latter walks away, and although Amelia appears confident that this is a step in the right direction for the fractured family, Noah is unconvinced over Samson's genuineness.

Later on, Noah's insecurities rise, but how long will it be before Samson reveals his hidden agenda?

Meanwhile, Mary Goskirk looks to be staying in the Yorkshire Dales for at least another 12 months, as star Louise Jameson recently extended her contract.

"I'm definitely there until January 2024," she revealed last month.

"In my head, I'm thinking maybe a couple of years after that, maybe a three or four-year stint. But there are people here who have been here 25 years going, 'Yeah, I said that at the beginning'.

"But who knows? They're such a lovely bunch, who knows?"
