Home and Away spoilers follow for Australian-pace episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Felicity Newman is at the centre of an upcoming storyline about alcohol on Home and Away, as her drinking becomes cause for concern.

As Australian viewers already know, Felicity is still reeling from a horrific car crash on her wedding day to Tane Parata last year. The car she and Eden were driving in had been tampered with by a member of the Death Adders bikie gang, compromising the brakes.

Weeks after that terrible moment, Tane is keen to get back on track with the ceremony. However, Felicity has turned to drinking, and is set to take her addiction to the next level in new scenes airing soon in Australia.

In a new storyline, Felicity will organise a party where her drinking will get out of control.

"Flick survived the crash, but the dust has settled, and the emotional trauma hits her," Jacqui Purvis told NowToLove.com.au about her character's storyline.

"She uses alcohol to numb the guilt and grief – she feels she's the cause of the crash."

While Tane hasn't seemingly picked up on Felicity's drinking, he has sensed his fiancée has some hesitation in resuming planning on their big day.

After all, Felicity already had doubts about tying the knot in scenes aired in Australia last November.

Will Tane realise something is off with Felicity and encourage her to seek help?
