Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks has aired another sad twist in Peri Lomax and Juliet Nightingale's will-they/won't-they relationship.
Ahead of upcoming Valentine's Day scenes filmed in Brighton, the pair have both been trying to work out their feelings following Juliet's affair and cancer diagnosis. However, in tonight's first look episode (February 10) an awkward confrontation with James and Ste resulted in Peri making a heart breaking confession.
Earlier in the day, Juliet gathered her family to ask for advice on how to win back her former fiancée, while a downcast Peri reluctantly scrolled through an online dating app.

"I'm sure Peri just wants to hear that you love her," James suggested, as Juliet finally plucked up the courage to ask Peri to meet up.
But her plans didn't go as expected as she stumbled across Peri on a date with another man and was left in tears as she confided in James that she believed Peri had moved on.
Unbeknownst to Juliet, Peri's date with Perry wasn't successful, with the sole purpose of her bringing the plumber home being to fix their broken shower.
"I just wanted to prove to myself that I could go on another date instead of just moping over Juliet," Peri told Leela after she asked how the date went. "The whole time I was just thinking about her."

However, the situation only got messier as later on Ste congratulated Peri for moving on.
But before she could explain the situation properly, James arrived to confront Peri about her date – with the awkward exchange leading to a sad realisation for Peri.
"I can't keep doing this, Juliet is fighting the hardest battle of her life and the last thing she needs is mind games and neither do I," she said.
"When we were together we were amazing, but we're just not meant to be. So I'm giving up on love."
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
