Kevin Clifton has shared a sweet detail about the birth of his daughter.
The Strictly Come Dancing pro welcomed daughter Minnie with partner Stacey Dooley – but if being the child of two Strictly champions wasn't enough, Minnie had another connection to the top BBC show at her birth.
On his Instagram, Kevin shared a picture of the song that was playing when his daughter entered the world, 'My Girl' by Tommy Blaize.
Tagging the singer in his post, Kevin wrote: "The song that was playing as Minnie was born."
Tommy is the lead singer on Strictly, joining the show's house band in its first series. He reposted Kevin's picture on his own social media, alongside a stream of hearts.
Kevin also offered a glimpse of the birthing playlist in an Instagram Story, which included 'I'm Coming Out' by Diana Ross, 'Isn't She Lovely' by Stevie Wonder, 'I'm Beautiful' by Bette Midler and Natalie Cole's 'This Will Be'.
Stacey shared the snap as well, writing: "Minnie’s 1st playlist."
Kevin and Stacey welcomed their baby girl last week, revealing the news by posting a picture on social media of an envelope that read "Minnie's parents".
"Our daughter is here," he captioned it. "The most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. So proud of u @sjdooley. Love u Minnie , Love u Stace x"
Stacey announced she was pregnant with their first child last summer.
At the time, she posted a polaroid of herself cradling her baby bump, captioning it: "Gaaaaaaang….. We are having a baby. So bloody delighted. Kev, you're magic, I love youuuu.
"[It] was becoming impossible to hide and if one more person asks me if I've had my t*ts done in LA, I'm gonna scream [laughing emoji]). Here goessssssss."
The couple met while they were competing on Strictly back in 2018, lifting the glitterball in the finale.
