The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon spoilers follow.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is building its international cast.
The new series will explore a new corner of the apocalypse when Norman Reedus's beloved character Daryl somehow washes ashore in zombified France.
Deadline reports that some of the pivotal cast have now been found for the series, including The Tunnel's Romain Levi as Codron and Eriq Ebouaney (Transporter 3) as Fallou.
Other newcomers include Anne Charrier (Chefs) as Genet, Laika Blanc Francard (Reign Supreme) as Sylvie and newcomer Louis Puech Scigliuzzi as Laurent. Not much is known yet about these characters beyond their names.
The five new The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon cast members join the previously-announced The Essex Serpent's Clémence Poésy and Chernobyl's Adam Nagaitis in main roles for the series.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will follow the title character in his trek across a France ravaged by the zombie virus, where he crosses paths with a religious group and a now-powerful former nightclub boss (Nagaitis).
Filming has officially kicked off in France, where Norman Reedus has admitted he's experiencing some of the same culture clash as his character Daryl endures.
"People are speaking French around me, and part of my story is me trying to figure out, 'Is this good or is this bad? Are we about to get into a fight or are we friends right now?'" he told Entertainment Weekly.
"I'm trying to read lips with the language that I don't understand and I'm reading body language, I'm reading tone," he continued. "I figure out how to get out of it, and how do I get to the next step. It's all part of the story."
The Walking Dead aired on AMC in the US and STAR on Disney+ in the UK.
