Classic Doctor Who fans can save lots of cash if they want to add full seasons to their home video collection.

The BBC has just announced new Blu-ray boxsets for Sylvester McCoy and Jon Pertwee coming later this year, but there are already full season boxes getting major price cuts from Zavvi.

The earliest run on offer is Tom Baker's 12th season, with £12.00 knocked off the list price to make it £37.99 for a limited time.

In Doctor Who's 1974-75 season, the show tried something a bit different by having every one of the Fourth Doctor's adventures directly tie into the next story coming up.

If you're a fan of classic Doctor Who monsters, this one is for you because it features two-parter 'The Sontaran Experiment', mammoth six-parter 'Genesis of the Daleks' and season closer 'Revenge of the Cybermen'. The latter was a rare appearance for the Cybermen in the 1970s.

Jump forward close to a decade and you'll have seasons 22 (£44.99, save £15.00) and 23 (£37.99, save £12.00), featuring Colin Baker's 6th Doctor.

The 6th Doctor joins forces with one of his predecessors, The 2nd Doctor (Patrick Troughton), to stop a Sontaran invasion while also facing off with his Time Lord nemeses, The Master (Anthony Ainley) and The Rani (Kate O'Mara).

These adventures all lead up to the Trial of a Time Lord, where The Doctor is made to answer some very serious charges in a Gallifreyan court.

Also on sale is the final run of the classic show, season 26 (£35.19, save £14.80) with Sylvester McCoy's 7th Doctor. Here, The Doctor and his companion Ace face some of their most dangerous threats yet, including hauntings and an alien sorceress (Jean Marsh).

All of these full-season Blu-rays have been remastered and are stocked with hours of cast and crew commentaries, featurettes, deleted scenes and other special features.
