Former Strictly Come Dancing pro Ola Jordan has said that she fancies her husband James more after the pair lost weight together last year.

Speaking to The Sun, the couple, who are both former Strictly professional dancers, opened up about their joint weight loss, admitting that their weight had previously affected their intimate relationship.

"For us, passion also dwindled, because the last thing you want to do after you've stuffed yourself with crisps and chocolate every evening is go to bed and have sex," Ola said.

The married couple said that getting back into dancing helped them lose weight.

"We spent our whole lives looking our best when we were dancing, so we were like: 'Let’s start dancing again,'" Ola revealed, also sharing that she decided to eat sensibly rather than cut out entire food groups.

"I used to be scared of carbs, but I now know that eating more calories, more regularly and not cutting out food groups is a healthier, more sustainable way to get in shape," she said.

Last year, James stated that he finds his wife more attractive when she's thinner (via The Sun).

Following up on his comments in this new interview with The Sun, James said: "From day one, our bodies were our business, so what a normal couple might consider rude is a common conversation between us."

"In terms of Ola and I, it doesn’t mean I love her any less," he added.

Ola said that James didn't offend her, as he was just being honest — a favour she said she returned.

"He's only being honest, and being honest is not being horrible. I've been equally frank with him," she shared.

"The truth is, I fancy James more now he's got his six-pack back. He looks so much fitter and younger since he lost weight. I can't keep my hands off him."

Strictly Come Dancing's spin-off show Strictly: It Takes Two will air on weeknights in 2023 on BBC Two. Both shows also stream on BBC iPlayer.
