Hollyoaks star Alex Fletcher has shared an image of a mini Brookside reunion with several former cast members.

The actress, who played Jacqui Dixon in Brookside, posted a photo with her former co-stars Tiffany Chapman (Rachel Jordache), Sarah White (Bev McLoughlin) and Diane Burke (Katie Rogers) on her Instagram account, showing the group out for drinks together.

The group were clearly feeling nostalgic for their Brookside days, as she captioned the post: "The Original Brookie girls back together we’ve literally cried laughing catching up, some of the stories remembering all the good times we shared on & off the close!!

"So many special happy memories such an iconic show what a catch up take us all back to Benidorm."

Brookside was originally on our screens for over two decades, airing on Channel 4 between 1982 and 2003.

While the popular soap is unlikely to get a reboot anytime soon, fans of the show can take comfort in the fact that STV Player are currently airing all of the episodes.

This is the first time a streaming service has made all of the episodes available to viewers, with BritBox previously uploading select episodes of the Liverpool-set soap in 2021.

Brookside streams on STV.
