New filming pictures for And Just Like That season 2 have been released, confirming that Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw will indeed have a romantic reunion.
Last year, it was announced that John Corbett would be back as Carrie's former lover Aidan for the next batch of episodes of the Sex and the City sequel series – though the nature of his storyline has been unclear.
Recent set photos suggested that they would be reuniting romantically – going shopping for homeware, no less – and now new pictures have revealed that they will be getting close once again, with the pair fully embracing with a kiss.

Of course, this could be a dream sequence, but given that Corbett is back as a recurring character rather than a one-off cameo, it seems that Carrie and Aidan are indeed back together.
Aidan was noticeably absent from the first season of And Just Like That, despite Corbett previously confirming that he would be back for the first set of episodes.
Writer Julie Rottenberg later explained: "That was one of these stories that came out, and HBO never confirmed it.

"I think their policy was they couldn't keep confirming or denying every random theory that was thrown out. But no, that was never in the plan.
"We love John, and we love Aidan. It just wasn't in the script."
As well as Aidan returning to her life, And Just Like That season 2 is set to bring back an iconic look for Carrie, with the character set to wear her iconic wedding dress from the 2008 movie – could wedding bells be in the air?
And Just Like That, the sequel to Sex and the City, airs on HBO Max in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW in the UK.
